Deep Silver and King Art Games have released the first faction trailer for Warhammer 40K Dawn of War IV, focusing on the Orks!
Dawn of War IV is set to fulfill a long-awaited fan wish. While its predecessor was not particularly popular, the second spin-off was better received. However, by far the most popular is “Dark Crusade,” which is the first spin-off in the series. Accordingly, Dawn of War fans have been waiting for a new, decent RTS title for quite some time. The fourth installment of the series is supposed to be it. However, there is no release date yet.
To shorten the wait, publisher Deep Silver (PLAION) and developer studio King Art Games want to focus on the different factions in a small video series. The Orks are the first of a total of four trailers. The video not only gives a taste of the Orks’ return to Kronus, but also shows the units, the playstyle, and introduces the two Waaagh bosses Gorgutz and Guzcutta.
So we get a good first impression of what the Orks embody. Namely, relentless, anarchic violence – and that’s exactly what their brutal play style reflects. The most important units, commanders, and the Waaagh! ability not only allow them to build up sheer numerical superiority in battle, but also enable them to turn the tide of battle very quickly. More dakka, harder choppas, and the boyz!
